The Sunset Beach House is located on a very quiet, private road surrounded with tall trees. Sitting directly on the beach, our 3 bedroom 2 bath house is located halfway between Traverse City and Elk Rapids Michigan, on the East Arm of Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay. Only 15 minutes from the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, the Sunset Beach House is an easy 4 hour drive from Detroit or 5 hours from Chicago.
The two-story living room boasts a wall of windows overlooking the lake. You'll find a home theatre system with large LCD flat screen HDTV, DVD player, and digital cable with HD providing HD sports channels, HBO HD, Cinemax HD and many others. There is broadband high-speed internet access with WiFi on all three decks and all the way to the beach! There is a direct-vent wood-burning fireplace for those cozy evenings in front of the home theatre system.
The extra-large master bedroom and bath are located at the top of the stairs, and include a walk-in closet and separate sitting area with full sofa, chair and ottoman. The sofa also converts into a queen bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each contain a twin and bunk beds that provide sleeping for 6. There is also a queen size inflatable bed. There are beds to accommodate 8 people, with space for an additional 4 in the convertible sofa and inflatable bed.
We hope you enjoy our house as much as we do. Once you visit you'll make a vacation at the Sunset Beach House an annual family tradition!

There are more than 20 golf courses within 45 minutes drive, including world-class courses designed by Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, Doak, and Weiskopf. You'll find outstanding mountain biking and hiking at the Vasa Trail, less than 10 minutes drive, and at the numerous National Forest trails in the area. Great road biking can be found locally around the chain-of-lakes area as well as on the Leelanau peninsula. Take a day-trip wine-tasting at one of the nearly 30 wineries in the area. Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore and climb the dunes. There are lots of fun kid activities nearby, like mini-golf, waterslides, go-karts and more. Don't miss the exceptional fall color tours in the autumn, and in the winter visit one of the more than 10 downhill ski areas within an hours drive or go sledding, tubing, skating or cross-country skiing.
