Description:
Welcome to the land of the legendary Sleeping Bear! ---with the tranquility of forests, streams, and wilderness lowlands! Our 4-season vacation rental cottages are situated around a traffic-free commons on seven rolling acres of birch, pine, and hardwoods in the heart of 60,000 acres of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore.
Our 325 feet of private shoreline, directly across the lake road, is awaiting your vacation to the sandy crystal-clear warm waters of Glen Lake. There are breath-taking views of Glen Lake, the great sand dunes, and gorgeous sunsets.
The vacationing opportunities are numerous: from watching a peaceful sunset, to a hike through the National Lakeshore. Summertime activities include boating, sailing, fishing, water skiing, golf, tennis, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, and hiking.
Wintertime area activities include downhill skiing (at nearby Homestead Resort), and cross-country skiing , hiking, hunting, and ice fishing right out your back door.
Amenities:
Cottages carpeted, bathroom w/ stall shower, kitchen includes MW oven, refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, utensils, and dishes. Pillows and blankets (but NOT towels or linens) are provided.
Included is cable service, with TV and VCR, and all utilities (except telephone) including electric heat.
Cottages have electric fireplaces. Our 2 units are year-round housekeeping cottages.
Our 2-BR cottage (#9) has a Queen size bed in the first bedroom, and bunk twins in a second small bedroom, plus a Queen hide-a-bed in living area (sleeping a maximum of 4 adults & 2 children - 6 total).
Our 1-BR cottage (#5) has a regular double bed and a small Sofa Sleeper in the living area (sleeping a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child.
Outdoor furnishings include a deck (1-BR only), lawn chairs, picnic table, charcoal grill, two fire pits (one in the commons area and one on the beach), extra long sunning dock, and boat moorings (please request).

Activities:
Glen Arbor, approximately 3 miles up the road alongside beautiful Big Glen Lake, and on the shores of Lake Michigan, is a favorite haven for visitors to Northern Michigan and the Leelanau Peninsula.
You may prefer to canoe the crystal clear, sand-bottomed Crystal River, climb Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and hike 2 miles to the magnificent Lake Michigan shoreline.
Or perhaps, golf at one of the areas great golf courses, bicycle 13 miles around beautiful Glen Lake on great paved roads, or hike/jog in this truly unsurpassed quiet outdoor setting.
If you are a shopper, you will find an abundance of stores throughout the area, offering gifts, crafts, antiques, and collectibles.
The Glen Arbor area features a variety of appealing restaurants for a quick snack or an elaborate meal, including outside entertainment.
A small marina offering various watercraft rentals is within easy walking distance across the Narrows Bridge.
